Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Mrs. Davis and I am honored to be your child's fourth grade learning support teacher. This is my 14th year at Aliquippa Elementary School, where I previously taught, Life Skills Support, Autistic Support and 2nd Grade.
During the 2015-2016 school year your child will be in an inclusive classroom setting. The inclusive classroom means that all students have the right to feel safe, supported, and included at school and in the general education classroom as much as possible as stated in IDEA section 504.
Ms. Henderson and I will work together to make sure your child is an active learner, encouraged to make choices, and give the appropriate accommodations and alternative assessments to meet your child's unique needs in accordance to their IEP goals and objectives.
I believe that parent involvement and communication is the key to a great parent/student/teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note, email
[email protected], or call me at 724-857-7550. I will update you as needed in your child's planner, by phone, note, or email if one is provided.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.
