Guidance Deptartment Goals

The goal of the Aliquippa Elementary School counseling program is to support and address academic, social/emotional, and career development of all students. The services provided include classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, individual counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation with teachers and families. Some topics that studentsare helped with are friendship problems, managing feelings, dealing with grief and loss, and setting goals.

About the Counselor

My name is Cassandra August and I have been the elementary school counselor at Aliquippa Elementary School since the 2018-2019 school year. I graduated from Hopewell High School and received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and my Master of Arts in Counseling (School Counseling Certified PreK-12) from Geneva College.
