Aliquippa attends the Pittsburgh National College Fair

Aliquippa High students benefited by attending the Pittsburgh National College Fair on February 2017, at the David Lawrence Convention Center. The event was free to all high school students, parents, and any individuals interested in higher education. Representatives from more than 250 two-year and four-year colleges, nursing schools, business and trade schools helped students with discovering their future. More +

Ticket Sales: Aliquippa vs Washington at West Allegheny

Ticket sales for Boys Basketball Aliquippa vs. Washington at West Allegheny will be on Thursday February 23rd from 11 am - 1 pm (Adults $7, Students $5). No student tickets will be sold at the gate. The game is at West Allegheny at 8 pm on Thursday, February 23rd. Go Quips! More +

7th and 8th Grade "Hidden Figures" Field Trip

During a private viewing of Hidden Figures on February 7th, a group of forty-six academically talented students embraced this film at the Cinemark Theater in Monaca. The trip is designed to discover, empower, and to expose students to STEM career occupations. Students are inspired by the revolutionary contributions of Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson, and Dorothy Vaughan, black female mathematicians of NASA. Aliquippa Students visit Waynesburg University

The Penn State Talent Search Program sponsored a trip to Waynesburg University on January 26, 2017. After engaging in an Admissions/Financial Aid presentation, led by Kyle DiGiandomenico, Admissions Counselor, students toured the hilly terrains of the campus and feasted in the dining halls. This opportunity facilitates awareness of a college campus environment. As a result of the trip, several students have applied or have plans on applying to Waynesburg University. Mrs. Sheffield, Talent Search Counselor, strives towards providing career opportunities for Aliquippa students! Click here to see pictures from the day.
